Abstract
To explore the applicability of K-PAW technology in the welding of pressure vessel materials for fast neutron reactors,K-PAW welding process experiments are conducted by using 8 mm thick TP316H stainless steel as the test substrate,and the weld forming quality,mechanical properties,and non-destructive testing results of the welded joints are analyzed.The results show that the microstructure of the heat affected zone of TP316H stainless steel K-PAW welded joint is a single austenite,while the weld zone presents a dual phase microstructure of austenite+δ ferrite,with δ ferrite accounting for about 3.6%.The distribution of the microstructure is conducive to improving the intergranular corrosion resistance of the joint.The surface bending and back bending tests were conducted on the welded joint,and no cracks were found in both bending forms,indicating that the joint has good plasticity and deformation resistance,and the welding process matching is excellent.At room temperature,the minimum yield strength of the welded joint reaches 266 MPa,meeting the basic requirements of structural load-bearing for mechanical properties at room temperature.In high-temperature tensile test,under the working conditions of 350℃,400℃,450℃,550℃and 650℃,the tensile strength and yield strength showed a slow decreasing trend with increasing temperature.At a high temperature of 650℃,the yield strength was 187 MPa and the tensile strength was 399 MPa,fully meeting the technical requirements of the product.The minimum impact absorption energy in the weld area is 114 J,significantly higher than the threshold requirement for brittle fracture protection in engineering applications,indicating that the joint has good impact resistance performance under low temperature or dynamic load conditions.In summary,K-PAW technology has demonstrated high welding efficiency and excellent joint quality in the welding of TP316H stainless steel,meeting the requirements of welding processes for fast neutron reactor pressure vessel materials and providing a reliable technical solution for the welding manufacturing of the key structures.关键词
