Development of New Modified 13Cr Stainless Steel Casing

Abstract
A new modified 13Cr stainless steel premium connection casing with specifications of Φ139.7 mm×9.17 mm was developed to aim at the demand for corrosion resistant pipes in domestic oil and gas field CCUS-EOR,underground gas storage and other projects.The experimental studies on the microstructure,strength and toughness,uniform corrosion performance under simulated conditions and physical threaded joint performance of the casing were carried out.The results show that the microstructure of the newly modified 13Cr stainless steel pipe produced is uniform and fine low-carbon tempered martensite,with excellent strength and toughness.Its yield strength Rp0.2≥827 MPa,tensile strength Rm≥965 MPa,and transverse impact energy at-10℃≥110 J meet the strength and toughness requirements of API SPEC 5CRA standard for 110 grade steel pipes.The average corrosion rates under two simulated CO2 injection and production well conditions were 0.018 7 mm/a and 0.004 2 mm/a,respectively,indicating good uniform corrosion performance.The premium connection of the physical casing has excellent properties such as anti sticking buckle,anti over torsion,gas seal under composite load,and ultimate load strength,which can meet the service environment under harsh working conditions.关键词
