Abstract

With the continuous advancement of urbanization in China,urban landscape water bodies often suffer from poor fluidity and weak self-purification capacity.Once polluted,these waters—especially micro-water bodies in key cultural heritage sites and tourist attractions—are prone to blackening and odor formation,compromising both aesthetic value and public health while hindering sustainable socio-economic development.This study investigated the purification efficiency and microbial community composition of an aeration-enhanced constructed wetland system powered by clean solar energy for treating lightly polluted landscape water.After 97 days of operation,the system achieved removal rates of(72.59±6.43)%for COD,(68.75±5.98)%for NH4+-N,(64.49±4.79)%for TN,and(79.87±12.68)%for TP.The effluent COD met Class I standards in the Surface Water Environmental Quality Standard(GB 3838-2002),NH4+-N met Class II,while TN and TP satisfied Class III standards.16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing revealed abundant microbial genera including Exiguobacterium,Acinetobacter,Legionella,Pantoea,Limnothrix,Leptolyngbya,Haliscomenobacte,Terrimonas,Hydrogenophaga,and Blastomonas.Notably,biofilm communities on fillers exhibited significantly higher richness and diversity than planktonic counterparts.Principal coordinate analysis(PCoA)showed that PCoA1(34.15%variance)clearly separated filler-associated and free-living microbial populations.Life-cycle cost assessment indicated a 25-year total cost of 6 781.08 CNY.These findings demonstrate the system's potential to mitigate eutrophication in urban landscape waters and advance the application of renewable-energy-driven treatment for micro-polluted water bodies.
