Box Dimensions of the Sum of Two Continuous Functions

摘要
Abstract
This paper investigates the estimation problem of the box-counting dimension of the graph of the sum of two continuous functions.Among the various cases where the box di-mensions of the two functions satisfy different relative magnitudes,this study focuses on the case s<t1<t2.Using a subsequence extraction method we prove that under this condition,both the lower and upper box dimensions of the graph of the sum function exist,and we pro-vide corresponding estimates.Here,s denotes the box-counting dimension of the graph of one function,while t1 and t2 represent the lower and upper box dimensions of the graph of the other function,respectively.关键词
