Abstract

In the context of global industrial restructuring,the EU vocational education micro-credentials have emerged,offering innovative pathways for learners to acquire specific knowledge and skills through short-term,market-driven learning experiences.These credentials are based on clear standards and employ a cumulative design,supporting learners in building personalized skill sets.Research indicates that EU vocational education micro-credentials are characterized by their emphasis on lifelong and inclusive learning,precise alignment with occupational demands,flexible modular design,and digital support.These features provide learners with flexible and efficient learning and certification pathways,facilitating a closer integration of vocational education with market needs.The EU vocational education micro-credentials offer significant insights for China in building a system for lifelong and inclusive learning,enhancing the alignment of vocational education with market demands,implementing modular learning curricula,and accelerating the digital transformation of vocational education.
