Structural optimization and performance analysis of Savonius-L vertical axis wind turbines

Abstract
In order to better meet the needs of small wind power generation systems,a Savonius-L vertical axis wind turbine with higher wind energy utilization rate and better performance was designed by improving the traditional Savonius wind turbine.The wind turbine model was built by Solidworks software,and the wind turbine structure was simulated and optimized in ANSYS CFX software based on the SIMPLCE algorithm and the standard k-ε turbulence model,so as to improve the utilization rate of wind energy,and select the appropriate number of blades and blade bending angle,and compared with the traditional S-shaped wind turbines.The results show that the wind energy utilization rate of the four-blade and blade bending angle of 45° is the highest,which can reach 0.281,and the wind energy utilization rate of the wind turbine is higher than that of the traditional S-type wind turbine.From the flow field analysis,it can be seen that the pressure distribution of the B-type wind turbine with a blade bending angle of 45° is concentrated and the value is large.In the wind power generation experiment,the Savonius-L wind turbine has good start-up performance,stable operation,high power generation voltage amplitude,and the best comprehensive performance.关键词
