Research Progress on the Influence of Detection Methods and Variant Types on the Prognosis of Advanced ALK Fusion-Positive Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Abstract
Anaplastic lymphoma kinase(ALK)fusion gene is one of the important driver gene mutations in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).There are various and continuously evolving detection methods for it.Moreover,different ALK fusion variant types exhibit differences in the bi-ological behavior and prognosis among NSCLC patients.This article reviews the common methods for detecting ALK fu-sions,including the roles,characteristics,and limitations of different detection methods-such as fluorescence in situ hy-bridization,immunohistochemistry,polymerase chain reaction,and next-generation sequencing-in prognostic evaluation of NSCLC.The article also discusses how different ALK fusion variants influence patient treatment responses and prognosis in both clinical studies and real-world practice.The goal of this review is to inform the precise diagnosis,individualized treat-ment,and prognosis assessment of ALK-positive NSCLC patients,and to identify promising avenues for future research.关键词
