Abstract

The emissions of biogenic volatile organic compounds(BVOCs)have a significant impact on regional atmospheric environmental quality,ecosystem function,and climate change.To explore the emission characteristics of BVOCs in Hebei Province,refined meteorological data were obtained using the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF)model.By combining ArcGIS software to process the MCD12Q1 and MCD15A2 data of the MODIS satellite,the vegetation functional types(PFT)and leaf area index(LAI)were extracted,and a biogenic emission inventory of Hebei Province with a spatial resolution of 3 km was constructed.The results showed that the total BVOCs emissions in Hebei Province in 2023 were 537.6×103 tons,among which isoprene accounted for 24.6%(132.5×103 t)and monoterpenes accounted for 25.2%(135.6×103 t).The spatial distribution shows an obvious terrain dependence:the emission intensity is the highest in the Taihang and Yanshan Mountains,followed by the southeastern part of Hebei,and the lowest in Zhangjiakou,China.Chengde ranked highest in emissions(148.9×103 t),followed by Baoding(68.0×103 t)and Zhangjiakou(58.6×103 t).The monthly time series shows that the 11 cities and Xiongan New Area in Hebei Province all showed a single-peak structure,with the peak concentrated in July and August.Zhangjiakou,Chengde,Qinhuangdao,and Tangshan had the highest emissions in July,whereas Cangzhou,Xiong'an New Area,Hengshui,and Xingtai reached their peaks in August.This study revealed the spatial and temporal characteristics of BVOCs emissions in Hebei Province through multi-source data fusion and model simulation,providing important scientific support for regional air pollution control and ecological environment management.
