摘要

Abstract

Most current research on Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces(RIS)-assisted Visible Light Communication(VLC)systems primarily focuses on integrating RIS into the channel to address Line of Sight(LOS)blockage issues and enhance data rates.In recent years,some studies have begun to explore the combination of Liquid Crystal RIS(LC-RIS)with traditional VLC transmitters to further increase data rates.To expand the application of LC-RIS in VLC systems,a model of Angle Diversity Transmitter(ADT)assisted by LC-RIS is designed and used to assist indoor VLC system communication.Multiple sets of comparative experiments are set up to highlight the superior performance of the proposed model.This research not only improves communication efficiency but also effectively mitigates interference among multiple Light Emitting Diodes(LEDs)by utilizing the electrically controlled refractive index characteristics of transmissive RIS and the angular diversity of spatial optical signals.Simulation results show that the proposed transmitter model outperforms traditional VLC transmitter models in terms of illuminance and uniformity,achieving an improvement of approximately 130%in illuminance compared to traditional transmitter models.Furthermore,it still outperforms traditional transmitter models in terms of maximum achievable rate and worst-case achievable rate,with respective improvements of approximately 105%.This successfully verifies that the ADT assisted by LC-RIS has superior performance compared to previous transmitter models.
