基于DEM-MBD的刮板输送机直角转弯中部槽输运-磨损特征
Transport and wear characteristics of the right-angle middle trough of scraper conveyor based on DEM-MBD

Abstract
As a critical component of right-angle turning scraper conveyors for realizing the turning transportation of coal,the turning middle trough has wear characteristics that are directly related to the reliability and service life of the equipment.Aiming at the turning transportation law of coal bulk and the wear characteristics of the right-angle turning middle trough,a DEM-MBD coupled simulation mod-el was established based on multi-body dynamics and the discrete element method.The accumulation morphology and distribution characteristics of coal bulk at three positions pre-turning,during-turning,and post-turning in the right-angle turning middle trough were analyzed.The severely worn areas of the right-angle turning middle trough and its wear mechanism were explored.The influence of coal bulk transportation speeds and generation rates on wear characteristics of the right-angle turning middle trough was examined.The results show that a distinct heap of coal bulk biased toward the coal wall side is formed in the pre-turning section,an asymmetric distribution with"higher inner side and lower outer side"is observed in the turning section,where the outer side velocity significantly exceeds that of the inner side,a uniform parabolic-like accumulation profile of coal bulk is presented in the post-turning section of the right-angle turning middle trough,the inner region where the scraper chain enters the turning section and the outer region where it exits the turning section are pressure-concentrated re-gions,as well as severely worn regions,the wear of the right-angle turning middle trough is exacerbated by both increased chain speed and elevated generation rate.Under constant generation rate conditions,the average wear depth of the right-angle turning middle trough exhibits a quadratic correlation with chain speed,under the condition of a fixed generation rate of 70 kg/s,when the transportation speed is increased from 0.8 m/s to 1.0 m/s,the average wear depth increase is measured at 55.20%,showing excellent agreement with the theoretical prediction of 56.25%.This study provides references for the de-sign of high-strength right-angle turning scraper conveyors,theoretical foundations for structural optimiza-tion and local wear-resistant reinforcement of right-angle turning middle troughs,and promotes their ap-plication in fully-mechanized mining face of ultra-thin coal seams.关键词
