Issues and Methods of Impervious Surface Thresholds in Urbanized Areas Under Rainfall Runoff Events
摘要
Abstract
This study proposes the concept of the threshold effect of impervious surfaces on river environmental hydrology under a single rainfall event, aiming to establish a nonlinear pressure-response relationship between surface pollution loads and rainfall runoff, with impervious surfaces as the core parameter. It also theoretically demonstrates the conditions and influencing factors for the existence of this threshold effect. To further investigate this, the study exploring the immediate threshold value of impervious surfaces that impact river hydrological and water quality indicators through field monitoring and surveys under various rainfall conditions.Additionally,a coupled system of MIKE-URBAN stormwater management and MIKE11 water quality simulation is developed to validate the theoretical foundation of the threshold phenomenon through process mechanisms.Advanced simulation techniques, such as MIKE-LID and LTHIA-LID models, are applied to identify threshold constraints of impervious surfaces that ensure the effectiveness of low-impact development(LID)strategies in urbanized areas at different scales. This work provide a valuable reference for decision-making to support the development of sponge cities.关键词
