Risk Zoning of Gale Disaster in Shaanxi Province Based on GIS Technology

Abstract
Based on disaster risk theory,we constructed a gale disaster risk assessment system using data from 97 national stations(1978-2022),socioeconomic and geographic data.Risk zoning was implemented via GIS and entropy weight method.Key findings:(1)Hazard levels are predominantly low and moderately low(72.8%of the area),with highest hazards in northern Shaanxi and high-elevation zones of the Qinling Mountains.(2)Medium-to-high risk dominates(>20%each grade),peaking in northern Shaanxi,central Guanzhong,and northeast Shangluo.(3)According to the index distribution of risk zoning,the high risk in the northern part of northern Shaanxi is mainly caused by the high disaster-inducing factors and high sensitivity of the disaster-prone environment.The high risk in Guanzhong is mainly due to the highest vulnerability of exposed elements,while the northern Shangluo is caused by the high sensitivity of the disaster-prone environment.Measures can be taken according to the main risk indicators that cause a high risk of wind disasters to reduce the social and economic losses.关键词
