摘要

Abstract

Using rainfall data,hydrological records,and ERA5 reanalysis,this study examines the meteorological drivers of the August 2022 inflow floods in Tongchang Reservoir,Kuqa,based on decadal inflow characteristics.Key findings:(1)Upstream stations received precipitation on 16-23 days(predominantly light-moderate rain),with daily maxima contributing>20%to monthly totals and hourly peaks accounting for>50%of daily maxima.(2)The flood event progressed through three stages:Stage 1(2 August)featured a combined rainfall-snowmelt flood(peak inflow 180.0 m3·s-1 triggered by 6.2 mm·d-1 areal precipitation);Stages 2(8-13 August)and 3(20-23 August)were prolonged rainfall-induced floods(6.3-14.0 mm·d-1 areal precipitation generating 129.0-376.0 m3·s-1 inflows),with Stage 2 being the most severe.(3)Inflow peaks lagged precipitation peaks,but the time lag shortened progressively,indicating accelerated basin response.
