Spatiotemporal Variations of Temperature and Precipitation in Hexi Corridor from 1961 to 2022

Abstract
Using data from 17 national stations(1961-2022),we analyzed climate trends in Hexi Corridor via Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition(EEMD)and least squares fitting.Key findings:(1)Annual mean temperature increased significantly(0.36℃/decade,p<0.01),accelerating post-1990s.The annual maximum and minimum temperatures also exhibit upward trends,with the most significant warming occurring in winter,which is substantially higher than the other three seasons.(2)Annual precipitation increased,with summer contributing 55%of the total(summer>autumn>spring>winter).(3)EEMD identified dominant cycles:3-year for temperature(PVE=62%)and 2-year for precipitation(PVE=38%).(4)Spatially,warming was strongest in central-east(0.40℃/10 a)and north(0.38℃/10 a)regions,while precipitation increases maximized in the east(+12%)and south(+8%vs north).关键词
