The impact of wearing different myopia control glasses on accommodative function in adolescent myopia patients
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the impact of wearing different myopia control glasses on accommodative func-tion in adolescent myopia patients. Methods A total of 107 adolescent myopia patients were enrolled divided into three groups:Orthokeratology(Ortho-K)group(n=36),Peripheral Defocus Spectacle Lenses(PDSL)group(n=36),and Single-Vision Spectacle Lenses(SVSL)group(n=35).Changes in spherical equivalent refraction(SE),axial length(AL),accommodative amplitude(AMP),accommodative lag(AL),and accommodative sensitivity(measured by FLIPPER test)were observed after one year of correction and compared among groups. Results Compared to the SVSL group, both the Ortho-K and PDSL groups showed significantly slower progression of SE and less increase in axial length after one year, all P<0.05,with no significant difference between the Ortho-K and PDSL groups,P>0.05.Regarding ac-commodative function:AMP significantly increased in the Ortho-K group,P<0.05,remained unchanged in the PDSL group, and slightly decreased in the SVSL group,P<0.05.The PDSL group demonstrated significantly greater improvement in both accommodative lag(AL)and accommodative sensitivity(FLIPPER)compared to both the Ortho-K and SVSL groups, all P<0.05.Conclusions The three types of myopia control glasses exhibit distinct effects on accommodative function:Ortho-K enhances AMP,while PDSL is more effective in improving accommodative lag and sensitivity.SVSL shows relatively weaker effects. The choice of correction can be tailored based on individual accommodative function needs.关键词
