Abstract

[Purpose]This study aims to analyze the change patterns in chemical components and sensory quality of different-sized lamina after threshing tobacco leaves of different grades,and to explore new approaches for the application of module combination based on different-sized lamina.[Methods]Using online screening equipment for different-sized lamina,large lamina strips were separated and extracted from threshed B3F and C3F grade tobacco leaves.A study on the design of module combination using different-sized lamina was then conducted.[Results]The result show:1)As the size of the tobacco leaves changes,the conventional chemical components of lamina from different grades showed different variation trends,and there were also significant differences in sensory quality.Overall,large lamina strips had the best intrinsic quality,followed by whole strips,then medium strips,with small strips being poorer,and fragments having the worst intrinsic quality.2)Large lamina strips of Xuchang C3F and whole lamina strips of Xuchang C2F from the same stalk position and adjacent grades,as well as large lamina strips of Xuchang B3F and whole lamina strips of Xuchang B2F,had comparable intrinsic quality and exhibited similar style characteristics.3)The sensory quality of module BSPA was basically consistent with the original tobacco module BFA.The applicable scale increment for module BFPA was 25%,and for module CFPA it was 27.5%.
