摘要

Abstract

Pregnancy loss is a key issue limiting the sustainable development of cattle breeding,with about 50%occurring in the early stages of embryonic development,while abnormal placental development is a significant cause of early pregnancy loss.The bovine placenta is a semi-invasive synepitheliochorial placenta,which has a unique pattern of trophoblast cell development and invasion that is closely related to placental development.Currently,most studies focus on placental morphology and function,and there is still a lack of systematic multi-omics integrated analysis on the mechanism of abnormal placental development and its correlation with pregnancy loss.This paper focuses on the early developmental biology of the bovine placenta;describes key biological events,such as chorioallantoic development,trophoblast cell differentiation and placentome formation;dissects the effects of genetics,assisted reproductive technology,disease and other factors on placental development;and provides an outlook on the research of spatial enhanced resolution omics-sequencing(Stereo-seq),single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)and other cutting-edge technologies in bovine placenta,aiming to enhance the understanding of bovine placental development from a microscopic perspective,with the goal of promoting the high-quality development of cattle breeding.
