Abstract
Objective:To explore the application of nutritional intervention in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes and its impact on self-management level.Method:Sixty elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Yunfu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Guangdong Province,from January 2023 to June 2024,were selected and randomly divided into two groups.The control group(30 cases)received routine care,while the study group(30 cases)received routine care combined with nutritional intervention.The hip circumference,waist circumference,body mass index,body weight,blood glucose index and self-management index after the intervention were compared between the two groups.Result:In terms of hip circumference,waist circumference,body mass index,body weight,fasting insulin(FINs),glycated hemoglobin(HbAlc),and fasting blood glucose(FBG)indicators,compared with the control group,the values of the above indicators in the study group after intervention were all lower,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).In terms of foot care,blood glucose monitoring,diet and exercise indicators,compared with the control group,the scores of the above indicators in the study group after intervention were all higher,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:In elderly patients with type 2 diabetes,conventional nursing combined with nutritional intervention has significantly improved the self-management ability of elderly patients.Various physiological indicators such as hip circumference and body mass index have decreased,and the control effect of blood glucose level is better,which is worthy of promotion.关键词
