Professor JIA Liujin's Holistic Approach in Treating Myopia in Children:Clinical Experience
摘要
Abstract
Professor JIA Liujin believes that myopia in children is not merely a disorder of a single organ,but rather a comprehensive pathological process closely related to the functional disharmony of the five zang and six fu organs.He points out that the clarity of vision reflects the abundance or decline of the essence-qi of the five zang organs,among which the liver and kidney play the most crucial roles.The fundamental pathology of childhood myopia lies in the deficiency of liver and kidney essence-blood,while other manifestations such as spleen dysfunction and heart-blood insufficiency are merely secondary symptoms.Professor JIA established treatment principles for pediatric myopia,replenishing liver and kidney essence-blood while coordinately regu-lating the functions of other organs to restore the body's overall balance.He developed the Mingmu Zengshi Tang(明目增视汤),aiming to replenish essence-qi,regulate qi and blood,and nourish the eyes.Addition-ally,he stresses the importance of daily prevention and care to achieve the goals of improving vision,removing obstructions,and preventing recurrence.A representative case is included for validation.关键词
