Abstract

Due to the nonlinear distortion characteristics of remote sensing images for urban surface features,the coordinates calibrated at the same surface feature surveying and mapping point are prone to distortion,which increases the geometric dis-tortion in the remote sensing images and leads to a large deviation of the coordinates of the three-dimensional(3D)recon-struction of remote sensing images for urban surface features.For this reason,this paper presented a 3D reconstruction method of remote sensing images for urban surface features based on dense matching point correction.First,the geometric distortion of the surveying and mapping points in the remote sensing images for urban surface features was corrected to elimi-nate the geometric distortion in the image.An adaptive scale convolution operation was introduced to improve the scale-invariant feature transformation algorithm,which mapped and matched the dense feature points of multi-scale surveying and mapping of urban surface features to capture the multi-scale features in the images.The coordinate errors of the dense match-ing points were corrected by combining the beam method-based area network levelling technique and the least squares method.The Smart3D(S3D)technology was used to construct an airborne triangulation network,map the coordinate infor-mation of the dense matching points into the triangulation network,and realize the three-dimensional reconstruction of the urban surface feature surveying and mapping points.The experimental results show that this method can effectively correct the distortion of the original remote sensing image for urban surface features and improve the image quality.The matching error between the ground surveying and mapping coordinates and the actual measured values is controlled within 0.02 m,which reduces the coordinate deviation of the surveying and mapping points during 3D reconstruction and realizes the 3D reconstruction of urban surface feature surveying and mapping.
