Non-conformal mesh generation and applications in computational electromagnetics

Abstract
Mesh generation technique is an important part of electromagnetic simulation.As the complexity of electromagnetic models increases,a set of reliable mesh generation techniques is becoming particularly important.Conventional electromagnetic calculation techniques rely on the use of conformal meshes,which are challenging and highly professional to generate.Currently,the discontinuous Galerkin(DG)method has been used to analyze non-conformal meshes,but the non-conformal mesh generation techniques are rarely reported.In this paper,we propose a non-conformal mesh generation technique which uses non-uniform rational B-spline(NURBS)surfaces to represent the patches that make up the object.The 2D mesh are obtained by meshing in the parametric plane,and mapping the mesh to the surface of the original model to obtain the final mesh,the generated mesh are analyzed using the DG method,and comparison of the results with commercial software is used to verify the accuracy of the method.The results show that the mesh generated using this method can accurately and reliably analyze the target electromagnetic scattering.This method has a simple generation process,with each facet being independent of each other,and easy to mesh in parallel.关键词
