The Exploration and Practice of GenAI-driven Personalized Programming Instruction

Abstract
To enhance high school students'programming abilities,computational thinking,and self-efficacy,this study developed a personalized programming learning model driven by GenAI and conducted a quasi-experiment within the high school information technology curriculum.The experimental group(n=61)received personalized Python programming instruction supported by ChatGPT,while the control group(n=61)followed traditional methods.After a ten-week teaching comparison,the results indicated that the experimental group achieved significantly higher academic performance than the control group(P<0.05).Both algorithmic thinking and problem-solving abilities were significantly improved(p<0.01),and the algorithmic self-efficacy of the experimental group(4.38)was slightly higher than that of the control group(4.22).The research findings confirm that GenAI can effectively enhance programming learning outcomes.关键词
