Toward a Possible World:On Don Quixote's Chivalric Fantasies
摘要
Abstract
Don Quixote embodies an ontological myth where fiction inverts reality,a dynamic effectively illuminated through the theory of possible worlds.Quixote's delusions are ontological imaginings,derived from possible worlds constructed by litera-ture.His quests act as fictional substitutions for reality,using symbols to reshape his identity and recenter these possible worlds.This obsession with the irrational culminates in a violent rupture of the rational order.In the final due l—a parody of chivalric romance—Quixote's fictional identity is dismantled,signaling the failure of his self-fictionalization and the dissolution of the possible worlds myth.关键词
