Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of preserving the superior rectal artery during laparoscopic radical resec-tion for sigmoid colon cancer and its impact on inflammation-immune injury and gastrointestinal function. Methods:A total of 108 pa-tients with sigmoid colon cancer admitted from Jun.2019 to Jun.2023 were selected and divided into two groups using the random num-ber table method, with 54 patients in each group. Both groups underwent laparoscopic radical resection for sigmoid colon cancer.During the operation, the study group retained the superior rectal artery, while the control group did not.The surgical indicators, perioperative inflammatory indicators,T lymphocyte subsets, gastrointestinal function indicators, and complication rates were compared between the two groups. After a one-year follow-up,the recurrence and metastasis rates of the two groups were compared. Results:There were no sta-tistically significant differences in intraoperative blood loss and the number of lymph nodes harvested between the two groups(P>0.05).In the study group, postoperative bowel sounds recovery time, time to first flatus, and hospital stay were shorter than those in the control group, while the operative time was longer(P<0.05).The incidence of complications was lower in the study group than in the control group(P<0.05).On postoperative days 1 and 3,the levels of C-reactive protein, tumor necrosis factor-α,and interleukin-6 were lower in the study group than in the control group(P<0.05);the serum levels of CD3+,CD4+,and CD4+/CD8+in the study group were higher than those in the control group, while CD8+levels were lower(P<0.05);the serum levels of motilin and gastrin were higher in the study group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Preserving the superior rectal artery during laparoscopic radical resection for sigmoid colon cancer is beneficial for postoperative recovery of gastrointestinal function, can reduce the occurrence of com-plications,and achieves good lymph node clearance.关键词
