Abstract
With the rapid advancement of technology, low altitude vehicles(LAV),including unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV),demonstrate considerable potential for enhancing the intelligence of operation and maintenance in oil and gas pipeline networks and for safeguarding energy security. This paper examines the current applications, technical bottlenecks, policy barriers, and development trends of LAV technology across the full lifecycle of oil and gas pipeline networks from planning and design, construction and operation, maintenance to end-of-life disposal.LAV technology can significantly improve pipeline inspection efficiency, reduce operational risks, and lower long-term operating costs. However, its widespread adoption still faces such challenges as uncoordinated airspace management,a lack of specialized technical standards, limited equipment endurance and payload capacity, and high initial investment.Breaking through these bottlenecks hinges on collaborative innovation and ecosystem co-development.Moving forward,it is essential to establish a"government-industry-academia-research-application"collaborative innovation system, promote the deep integration of 5G-A communication, edge computing, and UAV technologies, and optimize both policy environments and cost structures to achieve intelligent lifecycle management of oil and gas pipeline networks.关键词
