摘要

Abstract

This research is based on the CLIL(Content and Language Integrated Learning)foreign language teaching concept and explores the path of integrating the English-version chapters of Xi Jinping:The Governance of China into college English reading and writing courses.Relying on New Horizon College English Reading and Writing Course(Fourth Edition),the ideological and political content is screened closely following the unit themes,and targeted teaching activities are designed.Through classroom practice,questionnaire surveys,and student interviews,it is found that students have deepened their understanding of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era during their studies,mastered the discourse expressions with contemporary Chinese characteristics,significantly improved their English reading,writing,and translation abilities,and also cultivated a sense of patriotism and a global perspective.The research results provide a reference example for ideological and political education in college English classrooms and contribute to the effective implementation of the"Three Entries"work in foreign language courses at colleges and universities.
