新质生产力对外贸竞争力的提升效应
Enhancement effect of new quality productivity on foreign trade competitiveness
摘要
Abstract
Based on the theoretical analysis of the relationship between new quality productivity and foreign trade competitiveness,this paper takes the panel data of 30 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government)in China excluding Hong Kong,Macao,Taiwan and Xizang from 2012 to 2022 as the sample,uses two-way fixed effect and intermediary effect models,and conducts robustness,endogeneity and heterogeneity tests to empirically test the enhancing effect of new quality productivity on enabling foreign trade competitiveness.The results show that the new quality productivity can effectively enhance the level of foreign trade competitiveness,however,increasing innovation output(number of patent applications)cannot enhance China's foreign trade competitiveness,the number of patent applications plays a significant complementary intermediary role between the level of new quality productivity and foreign trade competitiveness;the impact of new quality productivity on enhancing China's foreign trade competitiveness exhibits regional heterogeneity,in the northeastern region,new quality productivity significantly boost foreign trade competitiveness;in the eastern and western regions,new quality productivity has a certain positive effect on the improvement of foreign trade competitiveness,but it is not significant;whereas in the central region,the influence of new quality productivity on foreign trade competitiveness is negative.Based on empirical results,this paper propose some suggestion such as deepening innovation driven development strategy,comprehensively promoting intellectual property protection,optimizing industrial structure,promoting green and low-carbon transformation,strengthening international cooperation and exchanges,and improving policy system,in order to provide policy support and guarantees for foreign trade enterprises,create a favorable business environment,and promote the improvement of foreign trade competitiveness.关键词
