The reversal of transverse optical torque on nanoclusters with gain induced by Fano-like resonance

Abstract
In this paper,the effect of Fano-like resonance on the transverse optical torque of a gain nanocluster in a simple optical field composed of linearly polarized plane wave was investigated.The extinction spectral lines of the nanoparticle clusters show asymmetric Fano-like line shape,suggesting that Fano-like resonance is excited on the clusters.The transverse optical torque of the nanoclusters near the Fano-like resonance wavelength was calculated by using the expression of optical torque based on the full-wave simulation method.The results show that the transverse optical torque acting on the nanocluster structure is significantly enhanced and the direction of the transverse optical torque is reversed during the Fano-like resonance excitation.Furthermore,by modifying the size or the gain amplitude of the nanoparticles that make up the clusters,the excitation of Fano-like resonance can be flexibly controlled and the transverse optical torque exerted on the nanoparticle clusters can still be reversed.These findings offer a new approach for Fano-like resonance to regulating the optical manipulation of nanoparticle clusters.关键词
