摘要

Abstract

In order to reveal the effects of pollen structure differences between Abies yuanbaoshanensis and A.ziyuanensis on their reproductive adaptability and genetic relationship,the morphological structures of their pollen grains were observed and analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM).The results showed that the pollen grains of A.ziyuanensis[(5 373.26±571.36)μm2]were significantly larger than that of A.yuanbaoshanensis[(4 230.15±287.90)μm2,P<0.05].The former was nearly spherical[length of polar axis/length of equatorial axis(P/E)=1.02±0.10],while the latter were prolate(P/E=1.19±0.09).The outer walls of both species were cerebral striated,and the surface of the sacci was wrinkled.However,the sac-ci of A.ziyuanensis[(1 770.20±552.30)μm2]were significantly larger than those of A.yuanbaoshanensis[(1 190.22±198.85)μm2,P<0.05],and the lumina diameter of A.ziyuanensis[(0.29±0.13)μm]was significantly smaller than that of A.yuanbaoshanensis[(0.71±0.14)μm,P<0.05].The transition between the cap and saccus was gentle in A.yuanbaoshanensis(concave angle>90°),whereas it was constricted into a neck-like shape in A.ziyuanensis(concave angle<90°).There are significant differences in pollen mor-phology,saccus structure and connection mode between A.yuanbaoshanensis and A.ziyuanensis,indicating that they may belong to different evolutionary branches.A.ziyuanensis is close to A.fargesii branch,and A.yuanbaoshanensis is close to A.recurvata branch,which provides key palynological evidence for the sys-tematic taxonomy of Abies.
