Abstract

In order to investigate effects of different mixing ratios between eucalypt and native tree species on soil nutrients and carbon pool stability,taking eucalypt pure plantation(EM)and eucalypt-native tree species mixed plantations[2∶3(MF1),1∶3(MF2)]as study objects,soil physical and chemical properties were mea-sured,carbon storage and related indexes of soil carbon pool were calculated,and relationships among soil physical and chemical properties and carbon pool stability were analyzed.Results showed that mixing signifi-cantly enhanced soil nutrient content and significantly decreased C∶P and N∶P.In 0-40 cm soil layer,com-pared with EM stand,C∶P of MF1 and MF2 stands decreased by 35.7%and 26.3%respectively,while N∶P de-creased by 32.1%and 27.7%respectively.Mixing increased soil readily oxidized carbon(ROC)content,soil readily oxidized carbon and soil organic carbon ratio(ROC∶SOC),SOC storage(SOCs),and ROC storage(ROCs).In 0-40 cm soil layer,these indexes of MF1 and MF2 stands increased by 138.7%-198.7%,50.7%-113.8%,42.4%-50.9%and 133.5%-212.7%respectively compared with EM stand.MF2 stand showed the highest SOCs(120.79 t/hm²).Mixing significantly elevated carbon pool activity(CPA),carbon pool activity in-dex(CAI),carbon pool index(CPI)and carbon pool management index(CPMI).MF2 stand achieved the highest CPI,and other indexes peaked in MF1 stand.Correlation analysis result revealed that there were interaction ef-fects among soil total nitrogen(TN)content,total phosphorus(TP)content,ROC content,C∶P,N∶P and CPMI.Redundancy analysis result revealed that TN content and C∶N were key factors influencing soil carbon pool sta-bility.Eucalypt mixing with native tree species significantly enhanced soil nutrient content and carbon pool sta-bility,with MF2 stand performing better in maintaining carbon pool stability.
