芒果属种间砧穗组合对根生理及解剖结构的影响
Effects of Interspecific Rootstock-Scion Com-binations on Root Physiology and Anatomical Structure in Mango

Abstract
[Objective]Mangifera indica L.belongs to family Anacardiaceae and genus Man-gifera.As the the second-largest tropical fruit in the world,mango gains its fame of"king of tropi-cal fruits"for its unique flavor and high nutritional value.This study aimed to investigate the effects of interspecific mango rootstock-scion combinations on the root physiology and anatomical structure to find out the optimal rootstock-scion combinations and expand the rootstock sources,so as to pro-vide a reference for cultivation management in mango production.[Method]The species Mangifera persiciforma C.Y.Wu et T.L.Ming(Biantao mango)with strong resistance and adaptability was used as rootstock to conduct side veneer graft with scions of mango varieties Guire 3,Guire 4,Guire 10,Guire 71,Guire 82,and Nan Doc Mai 4.The effects of different scions on root of root-stocks were tested.The survival rate of grafted seedlings was assessed,root anatomical structure was observed and root cross-sectional area,cortex thickness,phloem thickness,xylem thickness,vessel number,and pericycle area were determined.The physiological indexes in rootstocks,such as activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),catalase(CAT),and contents of malondialdehyde(MDA)and mineral nutrients(nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium,and calcium)were measured.The correlations between these indexes were analyzed.[Result]Guire 3/Biantao mango combination had the highest grafting survival rate among the 6 mango interspecific grafting combinations,70%,which was 3.74 times of the lowest level(Guire 82/Biantao Mango).Different scions in grafting significantly influenced the activities of CAT,POD and SOD activity and the con-tent of MDA in root of Biantao mango.The activity of CAT in the roots of grafted seedlings of Guire 4/Biantao mango were the highest,411.06µmol/(g·min),which was 3.74 times of the lowest level(Guire 10/Biantao Mango).Guire 3/Biantao mango combination had the strongest activities of POD 0.62 U/(g·min)and SOD(564.21 U/g)and highest content of MDA 25.24 nmol/(g·FW),which were 2.00 times(Nan Doc Mai 4/Biantao Mango),2.33 times(Nan Doc Mai 4/Biantao Mango)and 1.43 times(Guire 71/Biantao Mango)of the lowest levels,respectively.The CAT activity had extremely significantly positive correlations with vessel density,and the contents of calcium,phos-phorus and nitrogen.No significant correlation was found between the activities of different en-zymes.The contents of Ca and P were significantly correlated with the areas of pericycle,the thick-ness of phloem and xylem and the vessel density in the root tip anatomical structure.Different scions had a certain effect on the pericycle area in root of Biantao mango.The pericycle area in root system had extremely significant correlations with the thickness of phloem and xylem and the vessel densi-ty.[Conclusion]Among the 6 rootstock-scion combinations,different mango scions had significant effects on the root tip anatomical structure,physiological indexes and mineral nutrition absorption of rootstocks.Guire 3/Biantao mango combination significantly increased the activities of POD and SOD and the content of MDA in roots of rootstock,and the survival rate of this combination was significantly higher than that of others,indicating it is the best rootstock-scion combination for man-go interspecific grafting.关键词
