摘要

Abstract

[Objective]Mango(Mangifera indica L.)is one of the most economically impor-tant tropical and subtropical fruits globally,and its quality characteristics directly affect market attractiveness and economic value.This study aimed to evaluate the quality indices of Tainong No.1 mango fruits from six distinct basins in Yunnan,and establish a standardized evaluation framework for systematically comparing the fruit quality in different production areas.[Method]Tainong No.1 mango fruits of uniform maturity from 6 basins in Yunnan,including Daying River(Basin 1),Lan-cang River(Basin 2),Nanpan River(Basin 3),Jinsha River(Basin 4),Nujiang River(Basin 5),and Honghe River(Basin 6),were selected.Ten key quality indices,including single fruit mass,edible rate,fruit shape index,soluble solids,total sugar,protein,total acid,and ascorbic acid,were measured.Correlation and principal component analyses were conducted.A comprehensive evaluation model based on inter-basin quality variations and correlations between indices was estab-lished to evaluate the fruit quality of mango fruits from different basins.[Result]Significant inter-basin differences in fruit quality were observed(P<0.05).Basin 6 exhibited the largest single fruit mass(361.30 g),while Basin 4 had the smallest(66.83 g).Basin 6 also recorded the highest edible rate(79.78%),Basin 2 showed the highest total sugar(16.97 g/100 g),Basins 2 and 5 indicated the highest protein content(0.95 g/100 g),and Basin 4 had the highest ascorbic acid(28.27 mg/100 g).Correlation analysis revealed a significant negative correlation between edible rate and protein(r=-0.930,P<0.05).Fruit shape index had a significant negative correlation with total sugar(r=-0.754,P<0.05)and positive correlation with ascorbic acid(r=0.735).Principal component analy-sis extracted 3 components(Y₁,Y₂,Y₃)with eigenvalues>1,collectively explaining 84.39%of the variance.Y1 primarily reflected nutritional and taste attributes,Y₂ was related to quality and health benefits,and Y₃showed appearance characteristics.Based on the model,Basin 4,Basin 5,and Basin 2 ranked the highest in overall quality,followed by Basins 1,Basin 3,and Basin 6.[Conclusion]Basins 4 and 5 were identified as the optimal production areas for Tainong No.1 man-go in Yunnan.Basins 6 and 2 were recommended as suitable sources for back-end processing of mango industry and processed functional food development.This study provided a standardized ap-proach for evaluating mango quality and supporting differentiated utilization strategies across Yun-nan's production regions.
