Partial Discharge Denoising Method for Converter Transformer Based on Singular Value Energy Standard Spectrum and Improved TVF-EMD

Abstract
In view of the problem that partial discharge(PD)signals of UHV converter transformer are susceptible to periodic narrow-band interference and Gaussian white noise and affect detection accuracy,in this paper a hybrid de-noising method for PD signal based on singular value energy standard spectrum andtime-varying filtering-based em-pirical mode decomposition(TVF-EMD)is proposed.First,the original noisy PD signal is processed by using singu-lar value decomposition,and the singular value energy standard spectrum is introduced to determine the reconstruc-tion order and remove the narrow-band interference.Then,the PD signal with white noise as the primary interference is decomposed by using TVF-EMD and the kurtosis criterion is used to choose effective intrinsic mode function(IMF).Finally,the effective IMFs with residual noise are smoothed and reconstructed by nonlocalmeans(NLM).The de-noised PD signal after the reconstruction is obtained.The experiment of PD signal of±1100 kV UHV converter trans-former,which is obtained by simulation and real measurement,is performed.The result shows that the method can be able to suppress the complex noise of the PD signal effectively,and the evaluation indexes of the results are superior to other comparison algorithms.关键词
