Abstract
To understand the current status of sugar crop production in China and provide a scientific basis for policy formulation and industrial decision-making,this study conducts statistical and comparative analyses based on data from the national sugar crop production information monitoring network.Focusing on key indicators such as planting area,yield,production,purchase price,and sugar yield rate,it systematically reviews the production situation in the 2024/25 crushing season and forecasts the planting area,variety structure,growth status,and production prospects for the 2025/26 cursing season.The results show that in the 2024/25 cursing season,the national sugar crop planting area reached 1.2968 million hm2,increase of 10.64%,with a total agricultural output of 93.3672 million tons.Total sugar production increased significantly to 11.1929 million tons,up by 11.63%,while the sugar yield rate rose to 12.87%,and the self-sufficiency rate rebounded to 73.64%.The purchase prices of both sugarcane and sugar beet experienced slight year-on-year decreases.For the 2025/26 cursing season,the planting area continues to expand,reaching 1.3846 million hm2.Early growth was affected by drought,resulting in an 11.3%decrease in plant height compared to the same period last year.However,the number of effective stalks increased slightly by 1.21%,and stalk diameter remained stable.The total sugar crops production is projected to reach 99.9 million metric tons,representing a year-on-year growth of approximately 7.01%.The sugar self-sufficiency rate is expected to exceed 75%.These findings indicate a restorative growth trend in China's sugar crop production and enhanced security in sugar supply.The results and conclusions are of great significance for understanding production trends,optimizing industrial layout,and formulating policies to stabilize production and ensure supply.They also provide data support and decision-making references for the high-quality development of the sugar industry during the"15th Five-Year Plan"period and the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.关键词
