Integrated Management of Sugarcane Borer:Evolution and Prospects from Traditional Strategies to Frontier Technologies

Abstract
Sugarcane borers,as key pests restricting the development of China's sugarcane industry,often cause 10%~60%yield loss.To solve the problem of yield loss caused by sugarcane borer and the disadvantages of traditional highly toxic pesticides control,this paper systematically reviews their biological characteristics and damage patterns,and analyzes the evolution of integrated pest management(IPM)strategies:From the traditional model relying on highly toxic pesticides to a green control system centered on high-efficiency,low-toxicity new pesticides,biological control,and smart agricultural technologies.Despite current challenges such as complex borer species,intensified climate impacts,and obstacles in technology promotion,cutting-edge technologies like precision agriculture,gene editing,and RNAi biopesticides provide new directions for sustainable management.By integrating existing research and practices,this paper offers scientific references for constructing a comprehensive sugarcane borer control system balancing economic and ecological benefits.关键词
