德宏州蔗糖产业现状与发展对策
Current Situation and Development Strategies of the Sugar Industry in Dehong Prefecture

Abstract
The sugarcane industry is a key sector in Dehong Prefecture,playing a significant role in increasing farmers'income and revitalizing the rural industry.This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the current development status and existing problems within the sugarcane industry of Dehong Prefecture,and proposes targeted countermeasures for its advancement.During the"14th Five-Year Plan"period,the promotion and application of new sugarcane varieties and technologies have achieved remarkable results.The comprehensive mechanization rate of sugarcane production has increased significantly,with sugarcane yield per unit area,the comprehensive mechanization rate,and the mechanized harvest rate all ranking first in Yunnan Province.The total sugarcane and sugar output of Dehong ranks second in Yunnan Province.In the 2024/25 crushing season,the sugarcane planting area recovered to 53 800 hm2,with a total agricultural output of 4.0518 million tons and an agricultural yield of 84.00 t/hm2.The crushing volume was 3.7642 million tons,an industrial yield of 77.70 t/hm2,and sugar production of 489 800 tons.This represents a significant increase in sugar production since the 2020/21 crushing season.However,the development of the sugarcane industry in Dehong still faces numerous challenges.These include a decline in planting area,insufficient supply of raw sugarcane,low economies of scale in sugar mills,low comprehensive utilization of by-products,a weak foundation for cross-border agricultural cooperation,and slow development of sugarcane cultivation abroad.To address these issues,this paper proposes the following countermeasures:strengthen multi-department collaboration to ensure the supply of sugarcane raw materials;establish and improve the working mechanism for cross-border agricultural cooperation;accelerate the promotion and application of improved sugarcane varieties and advanced farming techniques,fully promote the initiative to"increase yield per unit area and enhance ratoon crop performance";increase investment in science and technology to reinforce technical support;strengthen technological innovation to improve the level of comprehensive utilization and enhance the capacity for industrial chain extension and supplementation.Implementing these measures will promote the high-quality development of the sugarcane industry in Dehong Prefecture.关键词
