Abstract
This paper systematically investigates the regulation and standard system for safety classification of AP1000 unit nuclear power plants,with a focus on analyzing the specific requirements and normative ba-sis for the safety classification of its Structures,Systems,and Components(SSCs).Based on relevant U.S.Federal regulations including 10 CFR 50.2,10 CFR 50.55a,10 CFR 50.49,and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B,and considering the characteristics of AP1000's passive safety systems,the study examines key issues within its classification framework.Addressing problems such as the characterization of Class D equipment as"safety-unrelated",the unclear inclusion of Regulatory Treatment of Non-Safety Systems(RTNSS)items into the safety classification system,and the applicability of safety classification standards,corre-sponding recommendations are proposed.These include revising the definition of Class D,incorporating RTNSS items into the classification scope,and advocating the use of the ANSI/ANS 58.14-2011 standard for safety classification to enhance the scientific rigor and regulatory consistency of the classification system.关键词
