Measurement and Driving Mechanism of Urban-Rural Integration Development in County Areas of Anhui Province

Abstract
The imbalance between urban and rural development is a pressing issue that needs to be ad-dressed in our country.The integration of urban and rural development plays a crucial role in achieving modernization for both sectors.As a vital link in the process of urban-rural development,counties serve as key nodes for realizing new-type urbanization and rural revitalization.Investigating the current status and driving factors of urban-rural integration within counties in Anhui Province holds significant impor-tance.By establishing a dual evaluation index system encompassing comprehensive development levels and influencing factors,this study employs the entropy method to measure and evaluate the overall level of county development.Additionally,it utilizes barrier analysis models and geographic detectors to analyze internal and external influencing factors,thereby exploring the driving mechanisms behind county-level urban-rural integration.The results indicate that,as of 2022,the overall level of urban-rural integra-tion across counties in Anhui Province remains at a medium-low standard,with notable disparities among different counties.Spatially,there exists a distribution pattern characterized by"higher levels in the east compared to the west;higher levels in the south compared to the north;with central areas being particu-larly prominent".Barrier analysis reveals that social and economic integration systems at the subsystem level are primary constraints on development;furthermore,distinct characteristics emerge regarding barri-er factors across various counties.Geographic detector results demonstrate that key driving factors include rural residents' income,educational support,and industrial development levels.Moreover,interactions among multiple factors exert a stronger influence on urban-rural integrated development than do single-factor drivers alone.关键词
