Abstract

The carbonation properties and environmental adaptability of FS-C type solidified soil(desulfurized gypsum:silica fume:cement=2∶1∶1)are investigated in this study.A self-made carbonation device was used to simulate different construction conditions,with two carbonation methods:compacted-state carbonation and loose-state carbonation.The effects of carbonation on the unconfined compressive strength and microstructure of FS-C type solidified soil were studied at different carbonation times.The results show that compacted-state carbonation for 3-6 hours promotes the mid-to-late strength development of FS-C type solidified soil,while loose-state carbonation inhibits its strength development.Based on these findings,further experiments were conducted on the water stability,ion erosion resistance,and freeze-thaw resistance of FS-C type solidified soil.The research indicates that after carbonation,the strength of FS-C type solidified soil significantly decreases under pure water and saline water curing but performs well under freeze-thaw cycles.Construction recommendations:FS-C type solidified soil should undergo carbonation after compaction and is unsuitable for coastal and rainy regions but performs well in cold regions.These findings provide a theoretical basis for the carbonation and practical application of solidified soil.
