Stress-strain model and parameter determination of frozen rock based on Gompertz function

Abstract
To address the difficulty of traditional constitutive models in accurately describing the S-shaped stress-strain curve of artificially frozen rocks,this study introduces the Gompertz function model,taking sand-stone as the research subject,and conducts uniaxial and triaxial compression tests under different temperature and confining pressure conditions.The results indicate that the stress-strain behavior of the rock closely mat-ches the Gompertz function curve.Model parameters k,a,and b are solved using the three-stage estimation method,and their variation patterns with temperature and confining pressure are analyzed,leading to the estab-lishment of a Gompertz function stress-strain S-shaped curve model that considers the coupled effect of temper-ature and confining pressure.Compared with the experimental data,the model demonstrates high prediction ac-curacy,with reliability validated through the Monte Carlo method.The study confirms that this model offers ad-vantages such as fewer parameters,clear physical meaning,and wide applicability,providing an effective tool for accurately describing and applying the constitutive relationship of artificially frozen rocks in engineering.关键词
