Cinnamon Twig Decoction Plus Dragon Bones and Oyster Shell Combined with Licorice and Wheat and Jujube Decoction in the Treatment of Menopausal Syndrome

Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Cinnamon Twig Decoction Plus Dragon Bones and Oyster Shell combined with Licorice and Wheat and Jujube Decoction on patients with menopausal syndrome.Methods:A total of 122 patients with menopausal syn-drome were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,with 61 cases in each group.The control group received Estradiol/Dydrogesterone Tablets for oral administration,while the observation group received additional oral administration of Cinnamon Twig Decoction Plus Dragon Bones and Oyster Shell combined with Licorice and Wheat and Jujube Decoction based on the control group's treatment.The clinical efficacy,changes in TCM syndrome scores,modified Kupperman scores,hormone levels[including estradiol(E2),follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH)],Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)scores,self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)scores,and self-rating depression scale(SDS)scores before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores such as palpitations and insomnia,hot flashes and sweating,irritability,frequent nocturia,and soreness and weakness of the waist and knees were lower than those before treatment in the two groups.Furthermore,the observation group showed significantly lower scores than the control group after treatment,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The effective rate in the observation group was 98.36％,significantly higher than 78.69％in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).The E2 level was higher than that before treatment in each group,while FSH and LH levels were lower than those before treatment,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The modified Kupperman scores,PSQI scores,SDS scores,and SAS scores in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the a-bove scores in the observation group were lower than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).Con-clusion:Cinnamon Twig Decoction Plus Dragon Bones and Oyster Shell combined with Licorice and Wheat and Jujube Decoction can alle-viate clinical symptoms,regulate hormone levels,and improve sleep quality and psychological state in patients with menopausal syndrome.关键词
