Textual Research on Historical Evolution and Key Information of Classical Famous Formula Rhubarb and Aconite Decoction
摘要
Abstract
Objective:To systematically analyze the historical origin,composition,formula rationale,dosage,decocting methods,drug ori-gins and processing,efficacy,and indications,etc.of Rhubarb and Aconite Decoction,and to conduct textual research on its key informa-tion.Methods:For ancient literature analysis,databases including Chinese Medical Classics,National Digital Library of China,Shutong-wen Ancient Books Database,Zhonghua Diancang,and Taiwan Huawen E-Book Library,etc.were searched using"Rhubarb and Aconite Decoction"as keywords.Paper-based ancient medical texts were cross-referenced for comparison and verification at the same time.For modern literature analysis,CNKI was searched using computer with"Rhubarb and Aconite Decoction"and"Rhubarb and Aconite and Asarum Decoction"as subject terms,covering publications from database inception to October 31,2024.Results:A total of 110 records were retrieved;after excluding direct quotations from Synopsis of the Golden Chamber,29 valid entries from 27 ancient texts were in-cluded.Rhubarb and Aconite Decoctionoriginated from Synopsis of the Golden Chamber by Zhang Zhongjing in the Eastern Han Dynas-ty.It comprises three herbs:Dahuang(Radix et Rhizoma Rhei),Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata),and Xixin(Radix et Rhizoma Asari),functioning to warm yang,dispel cold,resolve stagnation,and alleviate pain.Later physicians adhered to its original formula or modified it while preserving the core pathogenesis:yang deficiency and yin excess,cold stagnation ascending rebelliously,and abdominal qi stagnation.It primarily treats cold accumulation with interior excess syndrome,and has extended applications in internal medicine,surgery,gynecology,and pediatrics,etc.Modern analysis included 126 valid articles,highlighting its efficacy in treating digestive disor-ders,such as sepsis-induced gastrointestinal dysfunction,intestinal obstruction,acute appendicitis,cholecystitis,and so on,confirming it as an effective formula for acute abdomen.Conclusion:This study provides comprehensive evidence for further research and development of Rhubarb and Aconite Decoction through its literature review and key information verification.关键词
