Mass-Resolving and Diuresis-Promoting Decoction in the Treatment of Early-Onset Moderate Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome

Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Mass-Resolving and Diuresis-Promoting Decoction on early-onset moderate ovari-an hyperstimulation syndrome(OHSS).Methods:A total of 96 infertile patients who underwent in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET)with a long protocol,developed moderate OHSS on the 3rd day after oocyte retrieval,and subsequently underwent embryo cry opreservation at the Reproductive Center of Henan Provincial People's Hospital from January 2024 to February 2025 were selected.Then they were randomly divided into the Western medicine group and the Chinese medicinal group,with 48 cases in each group.The Western medicine group received Letrozole,Prednisone Acetate Tablets,and Enteric-Coated Aspirin Tablets for oral administration.The Chinese medicinal group was treated with Mass-Resolving and Diuresis-Promoting Decoction.The clinical efficacy,and changes in TCM syndrome scores,fasting body weight,abdominal circumference,pelvic fluid volume,maximum ovarian diameter,white blood cell(WBC)count,hematocrit(HCT),fibrinogen(FIB),and D-dimer(D-D)levels before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,TCM syndrome scores such as abdominal distension,chest tightness,and oliguria,etc.were lower than those before treatment in the two groups,and the above scores in the Chinese medicinal group were lower than those in the Western medicine group(P＜0.05).Fasting body weight,abdominal circumference,pelvic fluid volume,and ovarian diameter were lower than those before treatment in the two groups,and the above indicators in the Chinese medicinal group were lower than those in the Western medicine group(P＜0.05).WBC,HCT,FIB,and D-D levels were lower than those before treatment in the two groups,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).However,there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups after treatment(P＞0.05).The effective rate in the Chinese medicinal group was 100.00％,which was higher than 95.83％in the Western medicine group,but there were no statistically significant differences(P＞0.05).Conclusion:Mass-Resolving and Diuresis-Promoting Decoction in the treatment of OHSS can improve patients' TCM syndromes,effectively alleviate the degree of abdominal distension,reduce pelvic fluid volume,and decrease ovarian size.关键词
