Abstract

As China's first microsatellite dedicated to ocean color observation,the HS-2 satellite is primarily designed to monitor coastal regions,shallow island reefs,and inland waters bodies.Featuring a high signal-to-noise ratio,medium-to-high resolution,and a wide swath,it has a-chieved a breakthrough in the technology of micro-sized ocean color satellites for effective monito-ring of the ecological environment in coastal and inland water bodies,serving as a key component of China's ocean color satellites.This paper provides an overview of the satellite's overall de-sign,addressing the technical challenges encountered during its development and corresponding solutions.A series of technological innovations are presented,including a microsatellite architec-ture optimized for ocean color observation,a high-precision geometric imaging stability design,a high-accuracy attitude stabilization and control technology,an autonomous on-board management design,and user-friendly operational modes.Collectively,these innovations have enabled high-performance observational capabilities for coastal and watershed environment targets.Finally,the quality of the on-orbit image data was evaluated across multiple typical application scenarios,demonstrating that the HS-2 satellite meets the requirements for conducting scientific research and application.
