Membrane separation combined with macroporous resin adsorption to recover condensed water aroma components of tobacco flakes

Abstract
Neutral aroma components are the key aroma-causing components of tobacco.In this study,the process of recovery aroma components from evaporated condensate in tobacco flakes production was proposed.The aroma components in the condensate were first concentrated by membrane separation,and then enriched by adsorption-elution of macroporous resins to obtain the aroma-rich concentrated solution.The effects of operating pressure,temperature and mass fraction of aroma components on the flux and retention performance of nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes were investigated.The adsorption and desorption performance of six types of macroporous resins were compared,and the suitable resin was screened out.The results show that the water flux of the nanofiltration membrane is 3-3.8 times higher than that of the reverse osmosis membrane,and the retention rate of the nanofiltration membrane for the aroma components is 81.64%-89.32%,which is lower than that of the reverse osmosis membrane with the retention rate of 85.32%-93.06%.The HP-20 type of macroporous resins have the best adsorption and elution performance of the aroma components,with the adsorption ratio reaching 91.5%and the elution ratio reaching 92.5%.Under suitable experimental conditions,the condensate is concentrated 20 times by reverse osmosis membrane,and then the aroma components are recovered by adsorption-elution in macroporous resin fixed bed.The mass fraction of the aroma components in the eluate is 1 491 times higher than that in the condensate.关键词
