Abstract

Hebei Province has launched a large number of coastal wetland ecological restoration projects.An objective and scientific evaluation of the effects of coastal wetland ecological resto-ration is not only an important part of the restoration itself,but also a crucial basis for scientifi-cally guiding the future work of coastal wetland ecological restoration.Taking into account the characteristics of coastal wetlands in Hebei Province,the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)is adopted.An evaluation system for the effects of coastal wetland ecological restoration is estab-lished,which includes 15 evaluation indicators across five aspects of restoration effects:vegeta-tion restoration,ecological environment,substrate environment,carbon sequestration capacity,and social benefits.Based on the actual survey and monitoring data before and after the ecologi-cal restoration of the Luan River estuary's north bank coastal wetlands,an evaluation of the wetland ecological restoration effects is carried out.The results show that the comprehensive e-valuation grade of the ecological restoration effects of the Luan River estuary's north bank coastal wetlands is good.However,there is still considerable room for improvement in terms of wetland ecological environment,substrate environment,and carbon sequestration capacity.This evaluation standard provides ideas and a basis for the subsequent coastal wetland ecological res-toration projects in Hebei Province.
