Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between health literacy of chronic disease prevention and treatment and chronic disease among residents in Xinyang City,so as to provide a basis for health intervention of chronic disease patients.Methods Based on the health literacy monitoring database of Xinyang residents in 2022,2 707 residents aged 35-69 were selected as the subjects of this study.Results The average score of chronic disease prevention and control literacy among residents aged 35-69 in Xinyang City was(6.40±3.06),with a chronic disease prevention and control literacy level of 19.02%and a self-reported chronic disease incidence rate of 36.42%.There were statistically significant differences in the level of chronic disease prevention and control literacy among residents with different urban-rural distributions,genders,ages,educational levels,and per capita annual household income.Multi factor logistics regression analysis found that residents'self-reported risk of chronic diseases decreases with an increase in chronic disease prevention and control literacy scores.Conclusion There is a correlation between the chronic disease prevention and control literacy of residents in Xinyang City and self-reported chronic diseases.It is necessary to strengthen the breadth and depth of chronic disease prevention and control science popularization,improve residents'chronic disease prevention and control literacy,and thereby reduce the incidence of chronic diseases among residents.关键词
