Abstract
Objective To investigate the mediating role of parent-child conflict in the relationship between parental over parenting and adolescent anxiety.Methods A survey was conducted on 201 high school students using the Parenting Overparenting Scale,Parent Child Conflict Scale,and Child Anxiety Disorder Screening Scale.Results There was a significant positive correlation between excessive parenting,parent-child conflict,and adolescent anxiety,and the child conflict played a partial mediating role in it;both excessive parenting by fathers and excessive parenting by mothers had the same effect on adolescent anxiety,and parent-child conflict(father son conflict or mother son conflict)still played a mediating role in it.Conclusion Parent child conflict(father son conflict or mother child conflict)plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between parental over parenting and adolescent anxiety.Parents should give their children in adolescence a certain degree of autonomy to avoid intense parent-child conflicts,which can lead to their children's anxiety.关键词
