Effect of robot-assisted training on rehabilitation nursing for patients with severe lower limb burns

Abstract
Objective:To explore the enhancement effect of robot-assisted training on rehabilitation nursing for patients with severe lower limb burns and its effect on quality of life.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 102 patients with severe lower limb burns who were treated at the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University from July 2020 to September 2023.They were randomly divided into the control group(n=51,receiving conventional rehabilitation nursing)and the study group(n=51,receiving robot-assisted training in addition to conventional nursing).Differences in balance activity confidence,negative emotions,rehabilitation outcomes,and quality of life were compared between the two groups.Results:Compared with that before intervention,the Activities-specific Balance Confidence Scale(ABC)scores of both groups increased at 1 month and 2 months after the intervention,and the scores were significantly higher in the study group than the control group(P<0.05).After 2 months intervention,the Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)and Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)scores decreased in both groups,with the study group demonstrating significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the study group had higher Berg Balance Scale(BBS)scores and 6 minute walk test results at 2 and 6 months after intervention,respectively,and shorter length of hospital stay(P<0.05).After 6 months of intervention,Quality of Life(QOL)scores across all dimensions improved in both groups,with the study group scoring higher than the control group in all dimensions(P<0.05).Conclusion:Robot-assisted training has good clinical efficacy in rehabilitation nursing for patients with severe lower limb burns.It can effectively improve balance activity confidence,alleviate negative emotions,promote recovery,and enhance quality of life.关键词
