摘要

Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate the yield and growth traits of different types of Japonica rice varieties in Huaibei region of Jiangsu province,so as to provide a theoretical basis for selecting the proper Japonica rice varieties for this area.Field experiment was carried out at Huanghai farm in Yancheng,Jiangsu province from 2023 to 2024,with four representative Japonica rice varieties,including the medium-maturing medium-Japonica non-soft rice(MMMJ-non-soft rice),medium-maturing medium-Japonica soft rice(MMMJ-soft rice),late-maturing medium-Japonica non-soft rice(LM MJ-non-soft rice),and late-maturing medium-Japonica soft rice(LMMJ-soft rice).The results showed that there was no significant difference in yield between MMMJ-non-soft rice and LMMJ-soft rice,both of which were higher than MMMJ-soft rice and LMMJ-non-soft rice;The yield of LMMJ-soft rice was significantly higher than that of MMMJ-soft rice and LMMJ-non-soft rice(increase amplitude,2.02%to 4.88%);The yield of MMMJ-soft rice was the lowest(average yield,9.63 t·hm-2).The higher yield of MMMJ-non-soft rice and LMMJ-soft rice was mainly due to the coordinated spike-grain structure(suitable panicle number and the more grain number per panicle)and strong material production capacity af-ter heading;The grains per panicle of MMMJ-soft rice and LMMJ-non-soft rice was significantly lower than MMMJ-non-soft rice and LMMJ-soft rice,which was the root cause of the low yield.The growth period of LMMJ rice was 4-6 d longer than that of MMMJ rice,and the accumulation of temperature and light resources in the whole growth period was significantly increased,maily due to the extension of sowing-heading period;The effective accumulated temperature and sunshine hours of LMMJ were higher than MMMJ rice,increasing by 5.64%-9.51%and 4.91%-9.35%,respectively.Correlation analysis showed that the yield of MMMJ-non-soft rice was significantly and positively correlated with grains per panicle(r-0.51**)and significantly and neg-atively correlated with seed-setting rate(r=-0.87**);the yield of MMMJ-soft rice was significantly and negatively correlated with grains per panicle(r=-0.64**);the yield of LMMJ-non-soft rice was significantly and positively correlated with 1 000-grain weight(r=0.61**);the yield of LMMJ-soft rice was positively correlated with grains per panicle(r=-0.52*).In con-clusion,the grains per panicle was an important factor affecting japonica rice yield in Huaibei area.On the basis of suitable pani-cle number,it is of great significance to increase japonica rice yield in Huaibei area by increasing grain number per panicle and material production capacity after heading.
